The Client Services Coordinator (QIDP) oversees clinical aspects of programming at a group home residence located in Liverpool, NY. Works in collaboration with the program coordinator, family members, and other program staff to ensure that individuals living in the residence are empowered, lead self-directed lives, and have the opportunity to full participate in their community.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: Bachelor degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience required. Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred.
Skills/Abilities: Customer service, interpersonal, creative problem solving, communication and negotiation skills, the ability to become certified to dispense medication according to prescribed guidelines, computer proficiency and creative problem solving ability.
Licenses/Certification/Clearances: A valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation, registered and insured vehicle. Must be able to use personal vehicle for work purposes. NYS Central Registry Clearance, NYS Justice Center Fingerprinting and background check.
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Must possess mobility sufficient to drive to, and participate in, meetings at client's homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. Manual dexterity sufficient to work with children/adults in a challenging and active environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Trainings: VIRTUS, Corporate Compliance, Defensive Driving, Mandated Reporting, trainings related to the NADSP Core Competencies, and all applicable OPWDD training requirements.
