The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to residents of a small Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) on a contract basis. The SLP supports communication, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs, while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary team members to enhance residents’ quality of life, independence, and functional communication skills.
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and Medicaid ICF requirements
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, and current state licensure required. At least one (1) year of experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities and knowledge of Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) regulations preferred.
Licenses/Certificate/Clearances: Successful completion of the criminal background check, and State Central Registry clearance.
Skills/Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, knowledge of best practices working with children and families, and demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client’s homes and/or community facilities which may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals.
Required Trainings: Virtus, Corporate Compliance, Defensive Driving, and trainings required as part of program licensing.
